An Idea

You know those flip-down visors on cars? The sun-blocking-thingamajigs?

Why not make those out of a translucent material? Like a type of smoked glass or something with anti-glare stuff applied to it.

At the moment, they block the sun out just fine. But they also block your vision. If you flip them up, the sun blinds you, and you still can’t see where you’re going. Smoked glass would solve this problem, because it’d be like sunglasses.

Why hasn’t this been implemented yet?

  1. The assumption of the car companies is that everyone always has their sungalsses handy, and even if they do, it is no problem to put them on while driving. Which, as most of us should know, is quite dificult when your sunglasses are in a case that is sealed by a zipper. As are mine. Thus, this sounds like a wonderful add-on (even an after factory addition, dare I say) to anyone’s automoblie.

  2. Hahaha. Good one šŸ™‚
